Training for Electrician and Pump Operator
Training for Electrician/Pump Operator was held on 10th – 11th March, 2021 at I&PR Auditorium, CHANEM, Champhai on the topics of Pumping and solar pumping. From 19 villages 56 trainees attended the training.
Day 1 of the training was a theory class and it was chaired by Julie C. Mawii, District Coordinator, SBM-G & JJM, Champhai District. Er. C. Lalhmachhuana, Superintending Engineer, PHED Champhai WATSAN Circle was the Chief Guest. Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) overview was presented by Er. Vanlalmuanawma, Sub-Divisional Officer, PHED Champhai Project Sub-Division. Detail paper presentation on pumping was presented by Er. Zohmingliana, Asst. Engineer, PHED, Champhai WATSAN Circle and Solar pumping presentation was presented by Er. J. Kapkima, Executive Engineer, PHED Champhai WATSAN Division. After smooth presentation, it was followed by discussion, question and answer time was open and a few queries were solved.
On Day 2 Field visit to PHED pump house and Kelkang Solar pumping scheme was organised in which the pump operator and solar pump operator briefly explain about pumping and how it works and practical activity was performed for better understanding of the trainees.The whole training was fruitful for all the trainees and the resource person are well-prepared on their own topics. The training ended with vote of thanks from the Chief Guest.
